Even 10.5 degree, the ball flight is so pretty. TaylorMade don’t please everyone by launching so many new drivers so quickly the XD (for ‘extra distance) is an update on last year’s old R500 Series and will probably be ‘out of date’ itself in a year’s time but the club will prove hard to better. Never in my life that I had a driver would produce a ball flight like it. I am so happy that I finally got the driver that I want. The r580 XD Driver has a larger 440cc head and a deeper face than the original r580 Driver for a larger sweet spot. I only had seen this ball flight from the drive of my scratch golfer friends. The TaylorMade r580 XD Driver features TaylorMade's Inverted Cone Technology and a larger head than its predecessor for any player looking for increased distance and forgiveness. Even with the wind into my face the ball just penerate throgh the wind and going and going.

The head is so hard, the ball just launches off like a bullet. Recevied my club last week and went to the driving range this past weekend. I'll be keeping this in my bag for a while. However, it is VERY forgiving, gives great ball flight (I'd classify as medium-high - 9.5 degree loft) and is beautifully crafted. But when your swing is a bit off, it doesn't punish you severely, but loses just enough distance to make you concentrate harder on the next tee box. The larger head (440cc I think) took a little getting used to, but once you get over it - watch out! When you hit it on the screws, the ball feels light as a feather. Still not quite there.so in came the 580XD. Bigger head, pretty darn forgiving, great ball flight. Then I moved to the Great Big Bertha 380CC. Nice, but game has to be on to use it well.
